The Joy of the Peach

Here's a riddle for you all: What is the Joy of the Peach?

No it's not the naturally, delicious, sweet taste of biting into a summer peach. It's not even the delight of opening a can of preserved peaches. C'mon guys, my almost five year old figured this one out!!! (Before her mother I might add!)

Ok, it's a tough riddle. Here's the story behind it.

I was rallying myself for the day by singing 'This is the Day That the Lord has Made!' when the riddle spewed out of my three year olds mouth, in the form of a request.

Ksena: “Mom can you sing 'The Joy of the Peach?'”

Me: (slightly annoyed and on my way to the bathroom) “What? 'The Joy of the Peach'?”

Mia: “Oh, Mom she must mean 'The Fruit of the Spirit'”.

Yes indeed Mia, that is what she was requesting! Ksena wanted me to sing 'The Fruit of the Spirit' by Steve Green! I'm not sure I would have figured that one out on my own. I could have used some of those fruits in my heart this morning!
So, take your fill and learn to exercise these tasty fruits:

The Fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULLNESS,GENTLENESS, and SELF-CONTROL.

...Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

Triple Wonder!
Congratulations Scott and Becky on the birth of your 3rd, 4th, and 5th child. May God's strength and grace surround you with the responsibility of these incredible blessings!

Brock James-2 days old

Abby Helena-2 days old
Mama Becky!!!! I am SO PROUD OF You!!!!!(and you to Scott!)

Myles Landon-2 days old and already captivated by his bestest Aunt Mel (OK, perhaps I'm letting my imagination run away with me...)

Are there words to describe these miracles?! Does "Praise God from Whom all blessing flow" capture it. How about:

For you formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are your WORKS, And that my soul knows very well.

Psalm 139:13-14

There are not enough words to describe the glory of our God revealed in His creation let alone in Salvation. What an AWESOME God He is!! It humbles me to know, that even our feeble attempt at praise gives, Him glory.
