False Almarms!
Grrr...thought for sure the baby was going to come last night but no. I never had false alarms with the first two but I was sort of counting on it this time since this is the third pregnancy. I imagine it will happen a few times before the real event. Apparently if you can 'walk it off' then it's not real and that's what I did and it went away immediately. I remember my Mom having a false alarm with one of my sisters and when Mom & Dad came back from the hospital shortly after they left we were pretty disappointed! I think that was Emily because when she was born I woke up the morning after Dad and Mom had left to go to the hospital and was happy to see that they hadn't come home yet. I almost strangled Taun when her answer to my first thought of the morning 'I wonder if Mom had the baby?' was 'Yea, she did.' HELLO!!!! You'd think she would have woken me up when she took the midnight phone call but she just went back to bed without telling anyone the good news. I've never let her live that one down.
-So sorry Taun and Janet if I freeked ya'll out last night when we were playing Settlers. No more games at my house for a while if this baby is going to keep tricking me.

What a bummer!
I had false alarms with Ethan and Abby, especially with Abby!!
I thought for about 10 days that I was for sure going in every night. Well, maybe you will wake up to the wonderful surprise of your water breaking tomorrow morning....lol.
Oh, please no! We just got a new mattress!! I guess it's sterile water though. :0)
Oh man! Hang in there Mel! I know easier said then done, eh?
you did freak me out last night and I thought for sure I would get a call from Dan asking me to watch the girls! I will say i slept with one ear open!! call me if you need to I would be there in like 5 minutes flat and we all know that you go in ready to give birth!!! LOL
Put a garbage bag on your side of the bed LOL then no worries about wrecking the mattress. Can't sympathize with the false labour...didn't have to go in labour the 2nd time. But I hope for your sake it's sooner than later and you don't have too many false alarms.
I totally know what you're going through - I had that for weeks with Leah, and then she still came 8 days late! It sure makes the time go by slowly when you're waiting and waiting and waiting, then it starts and you get all excited, and then all of a sudden it stops... SOOOO frustrating! It made me not want to "walk it off" - just lay on the couch hoping for the contractions to get stronger. I hope things get "moving along" shortly for you - can't wait to find out what you're having!
I totally know what you're going through, my midwife told me that I always needed to question how REALLY bad things were (when I'm preggers, symptoms seem a lot more accentuated at night).
Heard you were all sick with the flu over there - yuck! :( Hope you're feeling better tomorrow.
ya, Rob was nervous to go into work every morning for the last week or so b/c of my false labour symptoms.
