Track and Field Day!

This is the only picture of the actually events that I got because I was a group leader for the JK's.
Refreshments!

Mia got first place in the Kindergarten group. Way to go MIA!!!! :O)
The storm threatened us all afternoon and finally broke when ribbons were being handed out.

Mia braved the rain and opened the van door for all of us...

Track and Field was SO much fun. I'm sure it was a TON of work for the event organizers. We practised for 5 KENA (Kids Experiencing New Activities) sessions and then held the big finally. THANK YOU so much to all the organizers-especially Denise.
Little Girls and Flowers

When I finally decided to get rid of my wilting Mother's Day flowers, they were put to good use by three little ladies.
Homemade Tortillas

Did you know it only takes 4 main ingredients to make your own wraps!!! I mixed some whole wheat flour into mine so that makes 5 ingredients.

Step 1
Lay out the ingredients...or you will hear the haunting voice of your Mother saying "I always tell you to read the recipe first and take out all the ingredients before you start baking!". Wise words that have stuck with me...but have not always saved me.
Step 2
Make the dough
Step 3
Divide the dough
Step 4
Roll the dough
Step 5
Pan fry the tortilla!

Step 6
Fill the tortilla and EAT!

Trillium In Bloom

"For lo, the winter is past,
the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth'
the time of singing has come,
and the voice of the turtledove
is heard in our land."

Song of Solomon 2:11-12

We saw all this beauty when we went for a Sunday drive yesterday.

19 Week Ultrasound

While they were doing this at Nana's....

Myself and my sister Amy were taking a peek inside this belly!

We have no idea what the gender of this sweet baby is. It is not in the report...but I have to go back for another ultrasound in May because they didn't get to look at the spine or the face. SO, maybe it will be in the next report?! We aren't telling the gender if we do find out because we would love to keep it a surprise for our little ladies...so y'all can have fun analysing everything we say! ;O) ...my hunch is that it's a boy but either way we will be terribly excited.

Visiting Taun in Michigan
Sisters
Sisters are Like...
flowers in the Spring,
a hug on a bad day,
a friend who just 'gets it'.

Sisterhood runs deep...
because you grew up in the same home,
you know where they got their characters from,
you've shared the giggles and the wounds.

Sisters in Christ...
are a glimmer of the fellowship of Heaven,
reflect the hope of our future there,
and have a bond that is ETERNAL!

Last Friday we drove to MI in the snow. We got to love on our nephews and niece for a bit and then stole their Mom for a night away. We (or should I say 'I') ate lots, laughed tons, shopped like women, swam like fish (OK, maybe NOT), and shared some Bible/prayer time. For more of our weekend, check out Taun's Blog.

Kara having her eyebrows 'threaded' in the mall. This an Indian technique used instead of waxing. Very neat to watch.

Mr. Jude watching us leave from the front window.
Mia opening her birthday gift from Caleb and Tiana...
Valentines from cousins.
Hair clips for Esmé's birthday.
Sen got some too...
Winter Days

Be Warned!!!!
When boy cousins come for more than one day....
They get mauled...
...and, well, ummm....they get girlie! Meet Princess Blake! Truth be told, he didn't realize it was a crown-or that was just his excuse?!
